1-3 Days

After landing in Kathmandu airport we will move to the Tibetan Buddhist monastery/Hindu Ashram located on the mountain hill. This area is clean and purified by sacred energy, an ideal place for spiritual activity.  In these first three days, we will  start ourcultural immersion with spiritual practices and we will  participate in a professionally-led yoga retreat with an experienced Nepali yoga practitioner.  We will get to discuss yoga philosophy and meditation, and more information on how  the blend of ancient Hindu and Buddhist wisdom originated from this part of the world, aiming at conquering afflictions experienced by the body and mind.  We will also walk to the mountain to get an amazing view of the massive Himalayan range and we will practice meditatation under  this Himalayan vibration.

4-8 Days

We will move to the beautiful medieval town of Patan, where ancient shrines and outstanding courtyards are hidden from the main road. Each of us will be welcomed into a new home and family as we begin our homestay with local Newari families. Here we will have lectures from local experts about culture and tradition of the country and learn more about its hidden gems. We will also explore the uniqueness of the ancient civilization through visits to various world heritage sites and monuments and see how the traditions and spiritual beliefs are represented in the architecture and temples. More importantly, we will each get the chance to learn traditional skills of your choice with a hereditary professional artisan. Stone-carving, mandala/thangka-painting, jewelry-making, pottery, wood carving, baking of Nepali sweets , learning Nepalese folk dance, musical instruments or traditional medicine are just some of the topics you can explore one-on-one with an expert mentor.

9-10 Days

Saying farewell to our homestay families, we will finish our program in the medieval city of Bhaktapur. This is a UNESCO Living World Heritage site and the capital of the ancient kingdom of Nepal. The final night we will be staying in  a  luxurious hotel, enjoying spa and massage. We will close our program reflecting and sharing on what we have learned, as well as buy a gift for beloved families and friends.
